Cambridge SkillsTap takes Internet Telephony beyond free calls for members

Cambridge SkillsTap and Websetters have reached agreement to provide WiSPA, Websetters’ Personal Assistant for Skype, as a benefit of membership of the successful Cambridge based organisation for portfolio professionals.

WiSPA is an example of the advantages that can be achieved, beyond low cost calls, of taking voice communications to the internet. Using the popular IP telephony platform, Skype, WiSPA provides the user with their own automated personal assistant while they are out visiting clients and partners.

In this first release, the user can enjoy the benefit of calling WiSPA from their mobile phone and listen to their voice and email messages; redirect callers to their mobile phone, to their voicemail or to one or more colleagues under a series of business rules – just like a PA. The user can also use WiSPA as their own personal, international trunk line providing free or low cost international calling from their mobile without the need for wireless networks or expensive computer phones.

Skype, which has been downloaded over 215 million times and has provided consumers and businesses with significant cost savings over the last two years, provides a reliable and effective communications platform for the delivery of personal voice services. By integrating WiSPA to the Skype platform, Websetters have taken the ease of use and cost benefits of the Skype network, and enhanced a business process experienced daily by a majority of small businesses.

With enhancements providing business rules to provide alerts via SMS, email or IM when that important caller phones or that urgent email arrives as well as providing an interface to other business information through the phone, WiSPA delivers valuable support to the business man on the move.
