“Continuous Learning from ethos to approval”

November 30th, 2006 - 18:11

At:

CONTINUOUS LEARNING are bywords of our time, the need to adapt and adopt in increasingly turbulent times mean that we are all captured, if not ensnared, by this concept. Indeed, to some, continuous learning may sound and feel like a long term prison sent

To help us navigate through this maze Alan Anderson, an experienced HR practitioner, consultant, trainer and academic will provide an insight into learning needs of modern business and related business opportunities therein, at a Cambridge SkillsTap Networking event on 30 November. Alan is responsible for Curriculum Development and Business Development with Cambridge Management College and its consultancy/HRD organisation.

There are skills and knowledge ‘gaps’ in most individuals, teams and organisations. The meeting of these needs can provide an enormous business opportunity – particularly when linked to the following:

• accredited UK institutions
• a range of programmes from junior to senior management
• the opportunity to give ‘credits’ for past learning and training
• the construction of tailored programmes to meet specific needs
• experienced and well qualified specialist staff

The aim of the seminar is to explore not only these ideas with participants but to relate such learning needs and programme development to own portfolio of a wider ‘product offering’ to clients.

The presentation will cover following:
1. CMC – Cambridge Management College from ethos to approval.
2. The programme portfolio:
• Consumer education
• Professional/developmental routes for business.
3. The approach/methodology:
• Flexible Learning – what it really means.
4. Costs/benefits to organisations and individuals – focus on professional/developmental routes for business.
